It is with great pride that we share with you Promoting Health, Creating Change, the new annual giving report for 2009 from Aetna and the Aetna Foundation. Now available on our website, www.AetnaFoundation.org, this multi-media report highlights our 2009 grants, a few of our nonprofit partners and provides examples of our employee volunteer activities as we strive to fulfill our mission to improve wellness, health and access to high-quality health care for everyone. Aetna and the Aetna Foundation gave more than $20 million in grants and sponsorships in 2009. Last year marked an important time for us as we realigned our giving to focus on three critical health issues -- obesity, racial and ethnic equity in health and health care, and integrated health care. We are proud of the work our funding partners were able to begin in 2009 as a result of the support they received from Aetna and the Aetna Foundation. You can learn about the work of some of our grantees in the video section of our annual report. Here they tell the stories of their organizations' efforts to improve people's health and our health care system.
