We are pleased to share the following news and recent Aetna Foundation highlights with you: Fight Childhood Obesity Grant Contest Winners Which three organizations will share $100,000 in funding from the Aetna Foundation? The winners of our online contest were announced today. Thanks to the 10 organizations that participated, and their thousands of supporters who voted, for helping to put the serious health issue of childhood obesity into the spotlight. Aetna Foundation President Anne C. Beal, MD, MPH, received the Soar High Leaders Award from the Institute for the Advancement of Multicultural & Minority Medicine at the organization's annual gala in Washington, D.C. She and the Aetna Foundation were honored for promoting health and health care equity for racial and ethnic minorities. Washington, D.C. Children Compete in Health and Fitness Aetna and the Aetna Foundation have expanded the school-based nutrition and fitness competition 3-Point Play SM, to Washington, D.C., after success in several schools in Houston. The program is featured in our Fight Childhood Obesity Video. Spanish-language Edition of CoverageforAll.org Now Available Uninsured Americans can learn about current government-funded and low-cost health insurance programs in a Spanish language edition of coverageforall.org, thanks to a grant from the Aetna Foundation.
