Dear Colleague, We're in the final days of the Aetna Foundation's Fight Childhood Obesity Grant Contest. Since the contest launch on September 13, some 15,000 people have cast 150,000-plus votes to award new grants to nonprofit organizations around the country that are working to reduce obesity rates among children. We hope you will take this opportunity to vote too and help us choose the organizations to receive additional funds to continue their fitness, nutrition and healthy lifestyle programs to at-risk children in underserved communities. To participate, simply visit our voting site, register, and pick the organization you want to receive a grant. You may vote up to a maximum of 25 times from now through October 5 at 5:00 p.m. And, you'll be able to keep tabs on each organization's latest vote tally in real time. You can learn more about our commitment to reducing childhood obesity rates in our new video that highlights several programs we support. We encourage you to share the news about our Fight Childhood Obesity Grant Contest with your family and friends through email, Facebook, Twitter or other social media outlets.
