Dear Colleague,
We are
pleased to share that a grant of $331,000 has been awarded to support new
work by the Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform at Brookings.
The
grant will help the center explore innovative approaches to implementing
and evaluating value-based purchasing programs as well as the dissemination
of the results to drive better value in health care for all health care
purchasers.
The
project will bring together experts to recommend strategic approaches to
enhancing the impact of value-based purchasing and share those
recommendations with key stakeholders. The goal is to develop an
implementation approach that will improve quality and reduce costs system-wide
through the close collaboration of public- and private-sector stakeholders.
As a
national health foundation, we want to advance positive and meaningful
change to improve the quality, delivery and value of health care. We remain
committed to supporting national and community-based research, policy and
practice efforts with this goal in mind. As such, we are delighted to
support the Engelberg Center with this important endeavor.
